Only for trekking lovers and beautiful nature walks experience, the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Rocca of Taormina is accessible via a long staircase that starts from via Circonvallazione (about 100 meters in altitude). The characteristic of this sanctuary (which also explains its name) is that it was built inside a natural cave : in large part, its ceiling is made up of rocks!
